Teaching general music lessons to Tk – 6th grade students at three school sites.

Instrumental Music Director, Buena Park High School (2013-2024)

Responsibilities included conducting the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and String Orchestra.  Coordinating all aspects of the “Coyote Corps” Marching Band, Winter Percussion and Winter Guard programs.  Fullerton Joint Union High School District Teacher of the Year 2021-22.

Music Specialist, Ocean View School District (2007-2013)

Taught Advanced Band, Beginning Band, and Mixed Chorus at two middle schools (grades 6-8).

 

Director of Bands, Valencia High School (2004-2007)

Responsibilities included conducting the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Jazz Ensemble I. Piloted both Advanced Placement (AP) Music Theory and International Baccalaureate (IB) Music courses in 2005.

Associate Music Director, Woodbridge High School (2002-2004)

Coordinated with the Director of Bands on all aspects of the music program.

Piloted Beginning Orchestra course in 2003.  Secured school board approval and supervised overnight trips to Las Vegas, NV and London, England.

Music Director, Los Alisos Intermediate School (2000-2002)

Taught instrumental courses at the middle school level, including Band and Orchestra. Piloted an after-school Jazz Ensemble course with trips to local festivals.
